Everton have completed the loan signing of Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park, joins the Toffees from Valencia.

He underwent a medical with the Merseyside club yesterday but has not received international clearance in time for today's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

His debut could come against Wigan next weekend.
