FA Cup: Tyson double sends Forest through

November 27, 2007

Nottingham Forest booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 replay win over Lincoln at the City Ground.

Nathan Tyson (two) and Kris Commons put Colin Calderwood's side three up before Jamie Forrester pulled one back for the Imps.

Bristol Rovers edged past Leyton Orient after a dramatic penalty shoot-out at the Memorial Ground.

The game ended 3-3 after extra-time, with Wayne Corden and Jabo Ibehre having been dismissed for Orient.

Craig Hinton put Rovers ahead before Adam Boyd and Wayne Gray gave Os the advantage, but Richard Lambert's stoppage-time penalty took the game into extra-time.

Boyd netted from the spot two minutes into the added period but Craig Disley ensured the game went to the drama of a penalty shoot-out.

Ten-man Oldham edged past Doncaster 2-1 at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Mark McCammon handed the hosts the lead but Neil Kilkenny and Gary McDonald struck back for the Latics, who had Neal Trotman dismissed for two bookable offences.

Chris Coyne and Jaroslaw Fojut were on target as Luton overcame Brentford 2-0.
