Rangers' Beasley a doubt for Old Firm clash

October 17, 2007

Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley limped out of the United States' friendly against Switzerland tonight with an apparent ankle injury.

Beasley was clattered by former Celtic trialist David Degan in the fourth minute, and despite trying to play on he had to be replaced at the half-hour mark.

The injury to his left ankle could now threaten the 25-year-old's chances of playing against Celtic on Saturday in the first Old Firm clash of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League season.
