PARIS, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Nancy breezed into the fourth round of the League Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over Ligue 2 Boulogne-sur-Mer on Tuesday.

The Ligue 1 leaders went ahead on the stroke of halftime through Gaston Curbelo before Sebastien Puygrenier doubled their tally on 68 minutes.

Boulogne striker Benjamin Psaume then put through his own net two minutes from time.

Elsewhere, a Sammy Traore goal gave AJ Auxerre a 1-0 extra-time win over Ligue 1 rivals St Etienne.

Montpellier and Niort also advanced with respective extra-time victories over Ligue 2 rivals Brest and Le Havre.

Six-times Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyon were awarded a third-round bye.

On Wednesday, Racing Lens host arch-rivals Lille while Girondins Bordeaux, second in Ligue 1, entertain Metz.
