AMSTERDAM, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored the winner with a bicycle kick as Ajax Amsterdam beat Heracles Almelo 1-0 away in the Dutch league on Saturday.
Heracles were made to rue a missed penalty just before the break, when Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg saved Everton's shot. Huntelaar made no mistake, firing home in the 75th minute.
Ajax are top with 10 points from four matches, with goal difference separating them from PSV Eindhoven, who were 1-0 home winners over Vitesse Arnhem.
Danny Koevermans got the only goal after six minutes, a superb long drive for his first strike for PSV.
Feyenoord are third with nine points and travel to fifth-placed Roda JC Kerkrade on Sunday, while Sparta Rotterdam host AZ Alkmaar.
Bottom club Excelsior Rotterdam took a 2-0 lead against Heerenveen before slumping to a spectacular 5-2 defeat.
They led midway through the first half after a brace from Geert den Ouden before conceding three goals in the space of six before the break -- Miralem Sulejmani, Gerald Sibon and Gianni Zuiverloon all finding the net.
Sibon and Michael Bradley settled the match early in the second half.
Graafschap Doetinchem beat VVV Venlo 3-2 to climb to the sixth place with seven points.
