Real's Drenthe in road accident with Police car

MADRID, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Real Madrid's new signing Royston Drenthe was involved in a road accident with a Police car in the early hours of Monday morning, Spanish sports daily Marca have reported.

The Dutch youth international, who completed a €14 million move to the Spanish champions from Feyenoord earlier this month, was reported to have collided with the Police car while executing a U-turn in the city centre at around 4:30 a.m.

A Policeman suffered minor injuries and Drenthe returned a negative result in a test for alcohol.

The wing-back made his Primera Liga debut with Real in the 2-1 home win over city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
