LISBON, May 22 (Reuters) - Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari named three uncapped players on Tuesday in a 22-man squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier away to Belgium on June 2 and a friendly with Kuwait three days later.
Scolari called up Porto's Bruno Alves and Jose Bosingwa as well as Sevilla's Duda (Sevilla) in place of the injured Nuno Gomes, Simao Sabrosa and Ricardo Carvalho.
Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo, suspended for the Belgium tie, will not feature against Kuwait while veteran striker Joao Tomas was called into the squad for the first time in more than five years.
'This game (with Belgium) is one of the most decisive. By winning we will be very well placed for the final stage of the tournament. For them it is the last chance to qualify,' said Scolari.
Poland lead Group A with 16 points from seven games followed by Portugal, Serbia and Finland who all have 11 and one match in hand. Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia are also in the group.
