AMSTERDAM, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will not be available for the Netherlands' friendly against Russia on February 7 following his falling out with coach Marco van Basten.

In a statement on Monday the Dutch soccer association KNVB said van Nistelrooy had told van Basten he still lacked confidence in the Dutch trainer after he was dropped from the national team last year.

The Netherlands will also take the field without Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, who broke his metatarsal on Sunday in the 2-1 win over English Premier League leaders Manchester United.
