Fulham striker Collins John has turned down a move to Watford.
The Hornets had a £3.25 million bid accepted by the Cottagers for the 21-year-old. But after holding talks with Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd the Dutch forward has opted to stay with Fulham.
Watford may have matched his £20,000 per week wages but John was unwilling to join the relegation-threatened side.
Boothroyd told the Croydon Guardian: 'I've spoken to his representatives and he said at this point in time it's a no.
'I think there is still some hope but I'm looking at other options.'
