Sydney FC will not appeal against its punishment meted out by Football Federation Australia for salary cap breaches.

Sydney FC will pay the fine of $129,000, and will have three competition points deducted for the current season.

The FFA on Thursday received notification of Sydney FC's decision and welcomed the club's stance.

"FFA respects the decision of the Sydney FC board and looks forward to a strong working relationship with the club in the future," said FFA CEO Ben Buckley.
