January 2, 2007

Wigan have opened talks with West Brom with a view to re-signing striker Nathan Ellington, according to the player's agent.

The 25-year-old played for the Latics between 2002 and 2005, scoring 67 goals in 145 games.

He moved to West Brom for £3million and it is reported that the same fee could bring him back to the JJB Stadium.

Ellington's agent Tony Finnigan told BBC Sport: 'Wigan have been in talks with West Brom and are interested in taking things further.'
