Derby boss is new Sir Alex, says on loan Jones

Pride Park midfielder David Jones has hailed Derby manager Billy Davies as 'the new Sir Alex Ferguson'

Jones, who is on loan to the Rams from Manchester United with the view to a permanent transfer in January, first played under Davies while on loan at Preston last season.

And Jones believes Davies and Old Trafford supremo Sir Alex are identical in outlook, saying: 'Both of them are striving for perfection in their play.

'For instance, we got a good result at the weekend and we are still second in the table but the manager comes in and is still not happy - that is the same with Sir Alex Ferguson.

'If you do not put on a performance as well as get the result it is not good enough and you have got things to work on.

'You do not want him to be over the moon because the performance was not that good, so you are only going in the right direction if people are striving for that perfection.'
