No deal yet but Davies makes Bolton pledge

December 11, 2006

Bolton striker Kevin Davies has pledged his future to the club.

Davies is free to explore his options from next month and could be in demand.

While he has still to put pen to paper on a new deal, he believes the situation will be sorted out shortly.

Davies re-discovered his scoring touch at the weekend with a brace in the 4-0 defeat of West Ham.

He told BBC Radio Manchester: 'There are still discussions going on but I have told the people who are involved I want to stay here.

'Everyone knows I am happy at Bolton and I am confident the matter will be solved.'
