Manchester City have dismissed suggestions they would even consider selling the highly-rated Micah Richards.
Richards, 18, was reportedly the subject of a £5million bid from Tottenham but City have reiterated the defender is unavailable.
'We have not received a bid for Micah Richards from Tottenham or anyone else,' a club spokesman said. 'Micah Richards is not for sale.'
The Birmingham-born defender joined City's Academy from Oldham as a 14-year-old and made his debut last October against at Highbury.
He achieved fame and a little notoriety when he netted a stoppage-time equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa, earning a replay in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Richards jumped into the visiting supporters and later swore live on national television when asked to describe how it felt.
