HAMBURG, June 21 (Reuters) - Italy midfielder Simone Perrotta, who had been doubtful with a leg injury, said he would be fit to face Czech Republic in Thursday's World Cup Group E match.
'I've recovered and enjoyed good training sessions today and Tuesday,' he said.
Perrotta was in the side for the 2-0 win over Ghana and 1-1 draw with the United States.
His return gives coach Marcello Lippi a number of options, given the midfielder can operate on either flank and in a central role.
Lippi is without central midfielder Daniele De Rossi, suspended following his red card against the USA.
The Italians will qualify for the second round by picking up a point against the Czechs while their opponents need to win to guarantee a spot in the last 16.
