West Brom have rejected a £1.4million bid from Premiership newcomers Watford for defender Paul Robinson.
The Hornets have been constantly linked with a move for the highly-rated left-back since they won promotion via the play-offs in Cardiff last month.
Robinson started his career with Watford before the Baggies paid £250,000 to take him to the Hawthorns in October 2003.
But Baggies manager Bryan Robson has reiterated his desire to retain his key players ahead of next season's campaign back in the Championship.
And he told the club's official website: `He's a big part of the team and a player I need to keep in the squad for next season if we're going to challenge for promotion.'
