Rosenior takes over at Brentford

Leroy Rosenior has set his sights on promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship after being unveiled as the new manager of Brentford.

Rosenior takes over at Griffin Park from Martin Allen, who resigned after guiding the club to a third-placed finish in League One before they bowed out of the play-offs at the semi-final stage.

Former Torquay boss Rosenior had been tipped to take over at Peterborough until Keith Alexander was appointed last month, and left his post as first-team coach at Shrewsbury yesterday.

Rosenior said: `This club has gone through some big changes in recent months with the new board taking over and after coming so close to gaining promotion in recent seasons, I am determined to help them make the jump to the Championship.'
