MONACO, May 31 (Reuters) - Former Stade Rennes coach Lazlo Boloni has signed a two-year contract with Monaco, sources close to the club said on Wednesday.

Boloni, who had been at Rennes since June 2003, was released last week after taking the Brittany club to seventh place in Ligue 1.

He will replace Italian coach Francesco Guidolin who has been reappointed by Serie A Palermo after a one-year stint at Monaco.
