Charlton have agreed a deal to sign Uruguayan defender Gonzalo Sorondo on a permanent basis.
Sorondo, 26, has spent the past season loan at The Valley from Inter Milan, but his contract with the Italians expires this summer, allowing the Addicks to secure his signature.
It is currently a pre-contract arrangement, with no further details yet announced, as Charlton wait for the final weeks of Sorondo's deal with Inter to run down.
Sorondo endured a frustrating season in England, as suspension, injuries and the form of others restricted him to seven appearances in the Barclays Premiership.
He started each of Charlton's last six matches.
