Eight uncapped players in South Africa squad

JOHANNESBURG, May 5 (Reuters) - South Africa named eight uncapped players in a 20-man squad for a friendly international against Lesotho on May 10, the South African Football Association said on Friday.

Caretaker coach Pitso Mosimane is using the match to prepare for the Cosafa Castle Cup mini-tournament in Botswana on May 20-21.

It is the first game since the 2010 World Cup hosts' disastrous performance at the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt, where they lost all three matches and went home without scoring a single goal.

Mosimane has been unable top pick players from top clubs Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs because of club commitments. Both sides play in the South African Cup final on May 20.

He is to add several foreign-based players to the squad for the Botswana tournament, including a return for former captain Aaron Mokoena, from English club Blackburn Rovers.
