Levein won't rule out Tynecastle return

April 1, 2006

Former Hearts boss Craig Levein has opened the door to a surprise return to the Tynecastle hot seat.

Levein quit for Leicester City 15 months ago as the Gorgie club's majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov began his quest to take control of the Edinburgh club.

John Robertson, George Burley and Graham Rix have all come and gone in that period and interim-boss Valdas Ivanauskas will lead the Jambos in their Tennent's Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibernian at Hampden.

Levein, axed by the Foxes recently, would consider the possibility of a return to Edinburgh.

He told the Scottish Mirror: 'If the job comes up at Hearts, the fact that I'm out of work means that speculation about me will be something that happens.

'I'm not ruling anything out.'
