Carling are set to hand their entire contracted ticket allocation for the Carling Cup final to fans.

In a first for a competition sponsor, Carling will place almost 900 match tickets - many including hospitality - in the hands of Manchester United and Wigan supporters in a bid to ensure as many fans as possible get to see the showpiece final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Carling Cup sponsorship manager Richard Smith said: 'It's the fans who support their team week in, week out who deserve to be here more than most, so we are doing everything we can to make sure all of our tickets and hospitality end up in their hands.'
