FRANKFURT, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg have completed the signing of South Korea striker Ahn Jung-hwan from French side Metz.
'He's the player I wanted,' Duisburg coach Juergen Kohler told reporters on Tuesday.
Ahn scored the goal that took South Korea past Italy and through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup four years ago and the striker can expect to play a big part in the finals in Germany this year.
He joined Metz last July but failed to establish himself in the team.
Duisburg are second from bottom of the Bundesliga at the halfway stage of the season.
