Serie A strugglers Lecce sack Baldini

January 24, 2006

ROME, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Serie A's bottom side Lecce have sacked coach Silvio Baldini, the club said on its website.

Baldini was Lecce's second coach this season, having taken over from Angelo Gregucci, who lasted just five matches and was dismissed in September.

Lecce's goalkeeping coach Franco Paleari and youth team coach Roberto Rizzi have taken charge.

Baldini is the seventh Serie A coach to lose his job this season.
