ROTTERDAM, Netherlands -- American defender Cory Gibbs has returned to the Dutch club Feyenoord following six months of injury rehabilitation in Florida.
Gibbs has been sidelined since hurting his left knee in an exhibition game with the U.S. national team against England on May 28.
"He is not yet 100 percent fit," club spokesman Gido Vader said Friday. "He will need at least a month before he gains full match fitness."
The 26-year-old joined Feyenoord from Major League Soccer's Dallas team in January 2005 and he scored one goal in 15 appearances.
