LISBON, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Benfica have signed Brazilian goalkeeper Moretto de Souza and midfielder Marco Ferreira, the Portuguese champions said on Monday.

The 27-year-old Moretto joins from cash-strapped Vitoria Setubal while Ferreira, also 27, moves from struggling Penafiel.

Benfica are third in the 18-team Portuguese standings, six points behind leaders Porto.
