Pereira led Porto to the Portuguese Liga title last season without losing a match, caping off a successful two-year stint at the club in which he won four trophies.

The 44-year-old will head to Saudi Arabia on June 27 before beginning his first pre-season with the club two days later and will take his assistants from Porto with him.

"Al-Ahli club signed a contract with Vitor Pereira for the next two seasons, and he will come to Jeddah with his assistants on June 27, and will start his job on June 29," the club said on their website.

Al Ahli finished the season in fifth place, although they have progressed to the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League.
