Brazil striker Leandro Damiao has been ruled out of the Confederations Cup after suffering an injury in training.
The Brazil Football Confederation confirmed the Internacional forward has been removed from the 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly against France and the tournament on home soil.
Damiao, 23, was hurt in training on Thursday and a scan on the problem found he had suffered a thigh injury.
A statement on the CBF website read: "The scan found a grade two muscle strain in his right thigh, which requires an estimated period of recovery of three weeks."
Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has added former Manchester City striker Jo, now at Atletico Mineiro, to his squad as Damiao's replacement.
