Fiorentina striker Adem Ljajic's future at the club remains uncertain, although the player's agent is set to begin talks over a possible contract extension with the Serie A club.
Ljajic, 21, has been linked with a move to either AC Milan or Juventus in the summer, despite having 12 months remaining on his current contract.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade remains confident that the Serbia International will agree to stay at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
"Adem has expressed a desire to stay here and I think there won't be problems with the contract," Prade told Sky Sport Italia on the weekend.
But Ljajic's agent, Fali Ramadani, refused to rule out a transfer request before opening up negotiations with Fiorentina.
"Optimism for the renewal? We'll see when we meet with Fiorentina at the end of the season," Ramadani told calciomercato.it. "AC Milan and Juventus interested in Ljajic? I have not had any contact with either the Rossoneri nor with the Bianconeri. I don't know anything about an interest from these clubs."
