Inter Milan have been fined £37,862 by UEFA for the improper conduct of their fans against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
However, Inter escaped a stadium ban which fellow Serie A side Lazio were given for the conduct of their supporters in the Europa League earlier this year.
Monkey chants were aimed at several Spurs players during the game at the San Siro on March 14, while a fan was seen with an inflatable banana.
Emmanuel Adebayor scored the vital goal as Spurs lost 4-1 after extra time on the night but progressed to the quarter-finals on away goals after the tie finished 4-4 on aggregate. But his achievement was soon marred by reports of abuse from the home fans.
Inter fans have been accused of directing racist abuse at players, with inflatable bananas also being waved at AC Milan's Mario Balotelli during the derby clash in February.
Benfica were also handed a €32,000 fine related to incidents at their last-16 match against Bordeaux in Lisbon on March 7.
Both clubs have the option to appeal the decisions.
