Guardiola left Camp Nou last May after winning 14 trophies in four seasons with Barca, and following a break from football announced last month that he would return to club management with Bayern at the end of this season.

The former midfielder officially takes the reins at Bayern on July 1 and just a few weeks later will be reunited with the Catalans, who will play in the Uli Hoeness Cup at the Allianz Arena.

The Uli Hoeness Cup is named after the club legend and current president, with the trophy created by the Bavarians as a 60th birthday present for him last year. All takings from the match will go to charitable causes.

"I am really looking forward to the game," Hoeness, 61, said. "I have to thank the board for this birthday present. I am delighted I can donate the income to charity."

According to a Bayern Munich statement, the clubs had agreed to play during the summer of 2013 a while ago, with the precise date of the fixture confirmed by Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Barcelona president Sandro Rosell during the recent European Club Association meeting in Qatar.
