Oft-injured Brazil forward Alexandre Pato is poised to join Corinthians on a $15 million transfer from AC Milan.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday that the two teams have struck an agreement for Pato's transfer and AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani was in Brazil this week to sign off on the deal.

Galliani confirmed receiving a bid last week from an unnamed club for Pato, who has been at Milan since 2007.

Brazilian and Italian media reports have also linked the Brazilian with a move to Club World Cup winners Corinthians in the transfer window.

Pato missed most of last season with injury and even flew to Atlanta to visit a specialist to find out why he picks up an unusually high number of muscle injuries.
