Prandelli wary of Confederations Cup draw
Italy manager Cesare Prandelli believes his side have been drawn in a difficult group for next year's Confederations Cup in Brazil.
The Azzurri have been drawn in Group A, along with hosts Brazil, Japan and Mexico, while Group B consists of Spain, Uruguay, Tahiti and the winner of the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Brazil's recent upheavals have been well-documented, with the sacking of manager Mano Manezes and the confirmation that Luiz Felipe Scolari would be his successor.
However, Prandelli said the five-time world champions would always be a threat, adding: "It is a tough group and also difficult considering all the travelling, but we will be prepared.
"The order of the fixtures is not important. What really counts here is motivation.
"Brazil can never be considered below par, even if new coach Felipe Scolari won't have many opportunities to test out his squad."
Build-up to the tournament, which takes place between June 15 and 30, has been plagued by worries that the host nation will struggle to finish the completion of new stadia in time.
