Torino's Poland international Glik appeared to lose consciousness and was immediately stretchered from the field. He needed two stitches in a head wound.

Viola striker Toni attempted to play on but complained of dizziness and was substituted before half-time. Team-mate Alberto Aquilani will undergo tests on a thigh problem after coming off with a suspected strain.

Director of sport Daniele Prade told Sky Italia: "Toni has nothing serious - he had all the tests and they came up negative but he has to stay under observation for 24 hours."
