Roma have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Erik Lamela will be out of action for three weeks after he suffered an ankle ligament injury against Torino on Monday night.

Lamela hobbled off in the second half of Roma's 2-0 victory and tests have confirmed the 20-year-old Argentinian has ankle ligament damage.
"Erik Lamela has today undergone medical examinations which have revealed a ligament injury to his right ankle. The prognosis is three weeks (of recovery)," read a statement on the club's official website.
Lamela is now set to miss the matches against Pescara, Siena and Fiorentina - an undoubted blow for Roma after he scored seven goals in the six matches prior to Monday's game.
