Christian Abbiati has said there is no issue between him and Adriano Galliani after the Milan vice-president was caught on television hurling insults at the goalkeeper.

Television cameras caught Galliani screaming obscenities at the player after he allowed a long-range shot to squeeze past him in the Rossoneri's 2-2 draw against Napoli at the weekend.

But Abbiatti told Mediaset: "As far as I am concerned, nothing has happened. I didn't even know about it until Galliani phoned me.

"I know that Galliani loves me and we have a special relationship. He told me that it was all forgotten after just a second."

The incident happened after a Gokhan Inler shot appeared to change direction in mid-flight, completely wrong-footing the goalkeeper.

Abbiati continued: "I've seen that shot again 100 times and every time I don't know how I wasn't able to stop it.

"I was a bit too far to the left, but the ball changed direction. It was a bit like what Andrea Pirlo used to do to me in training a few years ago."
