Lavezzi wants to make up for lost time

Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi is determined to make up for lost time at his new club after a frustrating start plagued by suspension and injury.

Lavezzi, 27, signed for PSG in July for a fee of €31 million after impressing hugely during his five-year spell at Napoli.

However, in just his second game for the club he was given his marching orders in the 0-0 draw with Ajaccio, causing him to face a two-match suspension.

Then in his fourth game for the club the Argentina international picked up a groin injury in the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Porto earlier this month.

Despite his setbacks, and only having played in four games for his club, having yet to score, Lavezzi is desperate to make amends.

"I'm getting better since my accident" Lavezzi posted on his Twitter account.

"I really want to replay and erase this season not great!"

The former San Lorenzo man returned to training this week and hopes to return for the match against Nancy on Saturday,
