McGlynn and the players - six of the team's highest earners - did not their receive their salaries on Tuesday, the second successive month in which the club have failed to pay their entire squad on time.

However, the seven Hearts men have been given reassurances that they will now be paid.

"The latest is that everyone will be paid by the end of play today," McGlynn said.

"We've just been told that, so I've not had any reaction from the players, but I'm sure they'll be happy.''

September's unpaid wages triggered a transfer embargo on the club, enabled under new Scottish Premier League regulations. The SPL board will discuss the situation at Hearts at a meeting on Monday.

The problems at the club follow on from last season when the PFA Scotland lodged a complaint on behalf of the players to the SPL over three months of unpaid wages. However, on that occasion, Hearts met the demands in January.
