Fulham manager Martin Jol is already looking forward to January as he is confident he will have a substantial transfer budget to spend.

The Cottagers made a £22 million profit in the summer, notably from the sales of Mousa Dembele and Clint Dempsey to Tottenham, but the outgoing players have left Jol with a shortage in midfield.
Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu also left to go to Blackburn but the Fulham boss is consoled by the fact that he will have money to spend in the next transfer window having been given the go-ahead by chairman Mohamed al Fayed.
"He said before the season you can spend the same amount as last year and we sold for over £30 million and only bought for £8 million," Jol explained. "So I am 100% certain he knows there is a lot on the kitty."
Jol's major summer signing was that of Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United, while Mladen Petric, Kieran Richardson and Hugo Rodallega were also among the new arrivals at Craven Cottage.
