Fulham's Aaron Hughes has praised Wigan's progress ahead of the two clubs' fixture at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
Hughes, 32, believes both sides play an attractive brand of football so is expecting a game for purists.
"We both play good football and obviously Roberto Martinez is big on how he plays - getting the ball down and knocking it around," he said.
"They have a nice style about them and I guess that's what we're known for as well so it should be a good football match. I think it will be a close one too and we'll be hoping we can get something from the game.
The Northern Ireland international also hopes Fulham can build on last week's emphatic 3-0 victory over West Brom.
"It was nice to come back after the international break and get a win after the disappointment of West Ham United. So we got that and that's something we'll take into the game on Saturday up at Wigan," he said.
