US international midfielder Maurice Edu says he has completed his move to Stoke City from Rangers.
Edu, 26, posted on his Twitter account that the switch was "finally official", adding: "Excited & looking forward to this next chapter in my career. Thanks for all your well wishes & support!"
On Thursday, the Potters revealed that they had been given permission to finalise Edu's work permit application after the player had agreed a three-year deal and passed a medical.
Edu has won 37 caps for the US, and his move from Rangers ends a four-year stint in Scotland. He won three Scottish titles while at Ibrox, and had also been linked with a summer move to Championship Ipswich.
Stoke assistant manager Dave Kemp said on Thursday that he believed Stoke were "very close to getting the deal over the line".
