Barcelona captain Carles Puyol will undergo further tests Monday to determine the extent of the fractured right cheekbone he suffered during Sunday night's 2-1 La Liga victory at Osasuna.

The 34-year-old defender sustained the injury in a late collision with Osasuna forward Roland Lamah.

Lionel Messi scored twice in the last 15 minutes as Barca survived a scare against the 10-man hosts to continue their winning start to the new season.

The result made it two wins out of two for Barca at the start of the new campaign, following their opening 5-1 rout of Real Sociedad.
