Spurs have already had a host of bids for the 23-year-old Brazil international rejected this summer, but chairman Daniel Levy is set to launch his final push to secure the services of this rising star of South American football in the coming days.

Levy is eager to bolster Tottenham's attacking options, with the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City viewed as merely the start of a revamp designed to re-energise a squad that was viewed to have gone stale under departed boss Harry Redknapp.

Andre Villas-Boas also feels their is a need for extra firepower, with untried youngster Harry Kane the back-up to Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.

Meanwhile, Spurs defender Michael Dawson is refusing to commit himself to a £9 million move to QPR, as he considers his options, with Stoke also believed to be bidding to land the centre-back.
