Tottenham Hotspur have announced that defender Steven Caulker has signed a new contract with the club.

Caulker, 20, has inked a deal that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2016, having gained valuable first-team experience while on loan at Swansea City last season.
The centre back has also had loan spells at Yeovil and Bristol City but he will hopeful of pushing for a first Premier League appearance at Spurs when the 2012-13 season gets under way.
Andre Villas-Boas was appointed as Tottenham's new manager on Tuesday and has since moved to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim. Star player Gareth Bale also recently penned a new contract.
