Barcelona have confirmed Tito Vilanova as their new manager, replacing Pep Guardiola who stood down at the end of last season.
The club had already indicated that Vilanova would be appointed at the press conference to announce Guardiola's departure, and now he has officially been announced in the role on a two-year contract.
Vilanova, who worked as Guardiola's assistant during an incredible period of success for the Camp Nou club, will be unveiled to the media on Friday.
A statement on Barcelona's website read: "FC Barcelona have come to an agreement with Francesc 'Tito' Vilanova. This season's first team assistant manager will be the head coach of FC Barcelona for two seasons, through June 30, 2014. Vilanova will sign his new contract this Friday on June 15 at 1200.''
With Guardiola, Vilanova helped Barca win two Champions League crowns, three La Liga trophies, one Copa del Rey, three Supercopas, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.
Barcelona also agreed a one-year contract extension with sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, and he is also tied to the club to the summer of 2014.
