Bologna have announced that coach Stefano Pioli has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2014 season.
Pioli, 46, led the Rossoblu to ninth in the Serie A this season and had been linked with the vacant managerial position at Lazio, following the resignation of Edy Reja.
However, Pioli has quashed those rumours by agreeing a further year on his current Bologna contract, which was only signed last October.
"I've read the reports, but I've had no contact with them (Lazio) or any other clubs. I can exclude the possibility that I will be leaving Bologna," Pioli told Tele Radio Stereo.
"My staff and I want to give a bit of consistency to the work we have done this year. It's normal that there are rumours, but I am happy at Bologna who have put me in the best situation to work."
