Jan Vertonghen has admitted there is "something happening" with Tottenham, but the Ajax defender claims he has other irons in the fire.

• Spurs yet to bid for Vertonghen
Vertonghen, 25, seems set to leave Ajax in the summer and he has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham.
Arsenal are also believed to hold an interest and it is likely the Belgian defender will have options to assess in the summer.
"I have a choice," he said. "There's something happening with Tottenham, but there are other clubs interested. For me, it is important to get regular playing time. I also need a stable club."
He has also been linked with Barcelona, but he is tempted by a tilt at the Premier League. He said: "In England, there is a growing realisation that you can go far with good football.
"Arsenal started it and now you also see clubs like Newcastle United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur playing good football."
