Bayern travel to face the champions three points behind and could move level at the top if they win. A defeat would surely see the end of their title challenge, but Kroos is confident that his side can overhaul their rivals.

"We're totally focused on Dortmund, and we know we absolutely can't afford to lose, you sense that everyone in the team knows the importance of this match." he told his club's official website.

"There's a lot of media hype about this game, but that's completely normal. It'll be very tense, All that counts is that we're in superb shape, and we've won a lot of matches in a row.

"We travel to Dortmund in good form. Obviously, we're wary and we know how good they are. But we're still just a little bit better in terms of footballing quality."
