Silvio Berlusconi has been appointed honorary president of AC Milan after he resigned as Italy's Prime Minister last November.
The Serie A club announced on Thursday that the board of directors had nominated the 75-year-old honorary president and a statement on the club's website read: ''President Silvio Berlusconi is back at his club. The board of directors met today and have appointed him honorary president.''
Berlusconi has twice previously served as president of Milan, from March 1986 to December 2004 and then from June 2006 to May 2008.
