QPR chairman Tony Fernandes was left with a "smile from one end of Tokyo to the other" after watching his team complete a stunning victory over Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Rangers looked set for yet another dismal evening when they went 2-0 down but they mounted an incredible comeback, with Shaun Derry, Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie all scoring in the final 15 minutes to earn a vital win which moves them out of the Premier League relegation zone.
Fernandes, who bought the club last summer, was delighted to see his team win after they were denied an equaliser last weekend at Bolton through a Clint Hill goal that was not given despite replays showing the ball had crossed the line.
Speaking from Japan in the run-up to the Malaysian Grand Prix, the owner of the Caterham Formula One team told QPR's website: "We've had a bad run of luck - but I've got a smile from one end of Tokyo to the other right now.
"The boys played fantastic, (manager) Mark (Hughes) did great. I'm over the moon. We've still got a long way to go, but it's good to get some points.
"That's a real shot in the arm for us. I've been getting texts from the players and you can hear a buzz in everyone's step.
"The confidence is building. We've got good players. We just need a little bit of luck and that confidence will grow.''
